Camping Info

Regular Admission to this Festival includes a spot to camp!

Here is a little more info about what this entails:

1. You will need your Tent, Sleeping Bag, and any other camping supplies you deem necessary. You will be able to have your vehicle right by your tent and there will be portipotties and outhouses spread out throughout the grounds.

2.  We do not have electricity on site, if you have electrical needs please bring a battery pack to charge your phone along with flashlights etc.

3. The campground does not have individual cook fires. We will have a community stove that is available for use. Many women choose to bring a big cooler and bring easy meals such as sandwiches, salads, fruit & veges, cheese & crackers etc. We will be providing a community meal on Saturday Evening, you are responsible for the rest of your meals.

4. We will be announcing our food vendors that will have meals available for preorder as well as snacks & baked goods for sale.

5. We will have a Tea & Coffee station available by donation, make sure to bring a mug and or thermos as we are trying to keep the festival as eco friendly as possible and will have minimal disposable dishes/cutlery

6. If you would like to bring a camper we have space available for you! Just let us know so we can insure everyone can fit.

7. Greenwater Provincial Park is only 15 mins away if you would like to camp with your family. They also have a beach as well as showers which we do not have.

8. Bring a contribution to our Community Potluck Meal. Friday after everyone arrives and we all get settled we'll sit down together to share this  meal and really connect before our Opening Ceremony.

Last year was absolutely amazing and we learned a few things along the way, we can't wait to have you join us out here on the land away from the big city frequencies, back in the vibration of mother earth as it's meant to be experienced.

Danielle and her husband Jonathan Couto reside on these 80 acres called Forest's Edge Farm, just east of Porcupine Plain with their 5 children. They moved here in the summer of 2022 and are slowly transitioning to homesteading the land starting with chickens and a small garden. As such we do have our Livestock Guardian Dogs here on duty; being so close to the Provincial Forest(5km) there are coyotes, bears and more in the area. The dogs work hard and insure to keep predators away, they are extremely friendly and won the hearts of the women over the years. But we do ask all to insure their food is kept away safely in a cooler or vehicle!

These lands are part of Treaty 4 Territory, the current and ancestral lands of the Cree, Dene, Nakota, Saulteaux, and Ojibway First Nations, and homeland of the Métis. We reside here with love & respect in our hearts towards all previous generations calling this land home.

We aim towards sustainable natural caretaking of this land without the aid of chemicals, recognizing mother nature's innate ability to provide all that is needed and required to thrive in harmony with nature.

In 2023 we at Sacred Woman Festival were attuned to the Earth Healing Bundle Tradition by Grandmother Kaarina Saarinen of the Turquoise Heart in order to bless this land. We placed 12 healing bundles around the land with intention and healing love to be connected to others throughout the energy meridians of the planet in order to hold this Sacred Safe Space.

In 2024 Cindy Hagen Shamanic Practitioner led us in a Prayer Tree Ceremony and we ccreated our very own Prayer Tree Grove on the lands, weaving our hopes and prayers into her handcrafted yarn with love and intention which we then tied onto branches in the grove to hold that frequency of love and hope.

Come bask this summer in the healing frequencies of this land while we gather as women setting intentions to heal ourselves and this place we call home.
